Lisa Ashley is a contemporary realist painter from Wilmington, Delaware. She received her BA and BFA from Boston College and her MFA from New York University.  Lisa has lived, studied, and traveled extensively in Italy, Spain, Germany, and Japan and has taught Art at the College and Secondary school levels. She has exhibited nationally and her work has been commissioned for private collections in England, Portugal, and Spain.

Her most recent work focuses on the Landscape and is inspired by her love for nature.   She is particularly attracted to vast open spaces like the wilderness of Rangeley Lake in Maine where she explores light, color, water and sky through the sensual properties of paint.  Her paintings search for the underlying abstract structure of painting while expressing the mystery of the natural world.
